The Great Lakes National Cemetery Advisory Council serves veterans and their families by supporting a National Shrine at Great Lakes National Cemetery — through memorials, ceremonies, and community engagement.
The Great Lakes National Cemetery Advisory Council is dedicated to ensuring that the men and women who served honorably in the United States military are appropriately recognized and remembered. We do this by sponsoring memorials, promoting community awareness through education, and supporting ceremonial programs at Great Lakes National Cemetery that are not funded by congressional appropriation.
We serve as a liaison between Veteran Service Organizations and community groups in all matters pertaining to veterans' memorials and burials at Great Lakes National Cemetery.
We sponsor educational opportunities for schools and community groups to promote a deeper understanding of the sacrifices made by our veterans.
Located at 4200 Belford Rd in Holly, Michigan, Great Lakes National Cemetery spans 544 acres and serves as the final resting place for veterans and their families across the region.
Support our veterans by attending ceremonies, volunteering at the cemetery, or making a contribution. Your involvement helps us maintain memorials and honor those who served.

The burial flag you received at the time of your loved one's interment is a very important symbol of the sacrifice made to a grateful nation. Consider donating it to the Avenue of Flags program.
